Photographer Olivia Nye Robbins
In December 2013, 11-year old Olivia travelled, with her mother Courtney, to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for a week of exploring.
The images Olivia captured, of the life and flavor of this UNESCO World Heritage site, are simply amazing for someone so young.
Olivia captured her images with a SLR Nikon D300s camera with an AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.4 G lens.
She did not shoot with a tripod.
Olivia shot in Manual mode in RAW for all of her images.
With her eye looking through the Nikon viewfinder eyepiece mounted on a Hoodman HoodEYE eye cup, Olivia was constantly adjusting her camera’s shutter speed, f-stop, ISO and depth-of-field without looking at the dials.
It took her about thirty minutes to learn how to do it.
For Post Processing, Olivia downloaded her images into Adobe Lightroom 5, installed on a MacBook Air computer, while listening to her favorite celebrity/musical artist, Macklemore.
I hope you enjoy Olivia’s photography as much as I do!
